Who wants a puppy? If you do, then I'm your guy! I'm Ralphie, a 5.5-month-old Coon Hound Labrador Retriever mix.
I am SUPER smart and know tons of commands like sit, down, touch, paw, mat, stay and even leave it. I wait very patiently for my food until you tell me to take it. If you have treats, I am super focused.
I am potty trained but still need a little work telling you when I need to go. My foster parents have these bells on their door, and I'm started to understand that if I ring them with my nose, they'll take me out. How cool is that!
Since I'm still a puppy, I have lots of energy. I could really use a fenced yard where I can run around. Or if you need a running buddy, I'm sure I can keep up with you. Oh, and Kongs are the best! They keep me busy for a while. If you give me one, I'll go right in my crate and hang out there with no fuss.
I love people sooooo much. It's really difficult to keep all my paws on the floor when I meet new friends or when my people come home after being out (or in the bathroom). I also like to put everything in my mouth, including fingers and hands. I'm not aggressive or mean, I just experience everything with my mouth, and sometimes I forget my teeth can hurt a little.
I've met a bunch of dogs and like to play. I was a frightened by a German Shepherd, but he was the size of a small horse. I think I'd do really well with a playmate to keep me company and run around with.
There are so many things I love, but riding in cars is not one of them. I get car sick even with short rides. Maybe we could work on some short rides to help me get used to it?
At the end of the day, when I'm ready for bed, I'm really into snuggling. I've been sleeping in my crate lately, but I'd LOVE to sleep by your feet. You can even pet my velvet ears - they are ridiculously soft!
