🐾✨ My name is Candy, and as my name suggests, I am the sweetest girl around! 🍬💖 With my soft, velvety ears and fluffy tail, I tend to win hearts wherever I go. My tail starts wagging the moment I think there might be a new friend nearby—whether they have two legs or four! 🐶👧👴
💕 I absolutely love meeting new people and have done wonderfully with older children and seniors in my neighborhood. People just can't resist stopping to pet me! If your ear-scratch skills are especially impressive, you might even earn a few grateful puppy kisses. 😘🐾
🏡 Despite a difficult past, I’m thriving in my foster home. Once my foster mom saw what a good girl I am, she trusted me to stay home alone while she’s at work! I’ll happily sniff around the kitchen while she cooks 🍳 and politely follow her from room to room as she tackles her daily errands. As long as tasty snacks are put away out of reach before you leave, I’m perfectly content. 😇
🦴 I already know "sit" and am currently working on "shake" with my big, friendly paws. On walks, I love to explore and follow all the exciting smells the world has to offer! 🌳👃 Sometimes I get a little distracted if I spot a squirrel 🐿️ or find some tall grass that looks delicious (a girl needs her greens, right? 🌱😂), so I’m still practicing "leave it."
🐕 I’m friendly and curious around other dogs, and even if they bark at me, I stay polite and quiet. Because of that, I’d likely be happy having a canine sibling! 🐾💕
⛈️🚗 I’m also a pretty calm customer. Busy neighborhoods, loud summer storms, and car rides don’t bother me much at all. Bath time? Well... I’m a little hesitant 🛁😅, but I cooperate because I know smelling fresh means more cuddles afterward!
🛋️ At home, I’m a champion lounger. I love sleeping on the couch, and much to my foster mom’s delight, I’m a late riser just like she is! 🌞💤 I never interrupt her beauty sleep, and I’m happy to snooze until the day gets started.
💔 My story hasn’t always been easy. My previous family’s trailer caught fire while I was there with my puppies, and afterward they left me at the shelter. How rude! 😢 Thankfully, ❤️🐾 MLRR rescued me and gave me a safe place to heal and relax. Now I get to enjoy apartment life and wander around comfortably.
🦮 Because I can get distracted by all the wonderful sights and smells in the world, I need to stay on a leash and harness during adventures to keep me safe. Safety first! 💕
