Hi there, I’m Morty! Short for Morticia, but you can just call me Morty — it’s easier that way! I’m a super sweet 5-year-old girl with a heart full of love, and I’m here to find someone to share it with! I’m a professional cuddler, and if you’re into belly rubs, we’re going to get along really well. I also give the best gentle kisses, so be prepared for that!
Now, I’ll admit, I’m carrying a few extra pounds, but don’t worry — I’m ready to work on that! I’m a strong walker, so I need a human who can keep up with me on our daily walks. With some regular exercise and a good diet, I’ll be back in tip-top shape in no time.
I’m not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home would be ideal for me. But I do enjoy hanging out with calm dogs who like to take it easy, just like me. When it’s time to play, though, I turn into a total athlete! Tug-of-war and fetch are my jam. I’m not really into loud, hyper dogs, but I do like walking past the friendly, chill ones. And don’t even get me started on treats — I love treat time, and I’d really appreciate it if any dog siblings would respect my space when I’m enjoying my snack.
I’m a great car traveler, and I’m trusted to hang out outside of my crate when you leave the house. But when it’s bedtime, I’d love to snuggle up with you in bed (I’m very cuddly, after all). But if you’d rather I sleep in my crate or on my cozy dog bed nearby, I’m happy with that too. Oh, and when I get excited, I sing! It’s pretty adorable — my foster parents think it’s the cutest thing ever.
I’m pretty smart, too! I know commands like sit, down, stay, shake, and I come when you call my name. I’m also potty trained and crate trained. Just one thing: I’m an opportunistic eater, so I’ll need a little reminder not to snatch up any human food I might find within reach (I mean, it smells so good, right?).
I’ve had a good life with my previous family, but they couldn’t take care of me anymore, so now I’m looking for a new home. I’m ready to be your best friend and the center of your world. So, if you’re looking for a cuddly, sweet girl who loves a good walk, playtime, and treats, I’m your girl!
