Hi, there - I’m Maize. According to my foster mom, it’s short for “Amaizing”!
I have really enjoyed my time with my foster family - they have three dogs to play with, including a small beagle that’s only 20 lbs! We all play together with enthusiasm and without injury to the little one.
Since I’ve been here, I have been showing how smart I am; I am house trained, and learned a great new trick - using a doggie door! I am super good with my crate, and love to come when called (especially because that means extra pets and maybe treats, too.) I also sit super-fast when told to and am learning what “down” means.
I love going on walks! I might need a little work on proper leash manners though as I am so excited and interested in everything that’s brand new. To be honest, I am also a bit of a counter surfer, but I am so smart and listen well once told “off”, so with a little training, I’m sure I’ll learn self control and just what I need to do to make you happy!
My foster mom said whoever adopts me will have lots of fun playing with and training me since I’m so smart, and that I deserve the best because I am such a loving boy. So, what do you say? Let’s meet and find out if we’re a perfect match!
