I’ve been told I’m what humans call a “gentle giant”… and honestly, I think that fits me pretty well 😌
I’m a big guy with an even bigger heart. I’m calm, sweet, easygoing, and happiest when I’m just hanging out near my people. I don’t need to be the center of attention or all up in your personal space, but I do love being around you.
If you talk to me, you’ll probably notice my super fast happy tail immediately starts wagging 🐕
It’s kind of my signature move.
Around the house, I’m very relaxed and well-mannered. I’m fully housetrained, don’t need a crate, and can free roam without any problems. I’m not interested in chewing on your things — honestly, I’d much rather find the coziest spot in the house and settle in for a nap 🛋️
My favorite places are:
• the couch
• my big comfy bed
• or a soft rug nearby
And if you give me some ear scratches while I’m falling asleep? Pure happiness 🥹💤
I also sleep quietly and peacefully through the night like a total gentleman!
I love people and have been so gentle and sweet with everyone I meet, including kiddos out on walks 💛 I’m just a really kind soul.
I’m also a huge fan of car rides. I’m happy to hop in, relax, and enjoy the adventure with you. I’m still discovering how fun life can be!
My foster family thinks I may never have really had toys before, so I’m slowly learning that toys are actually pretty great! Though truthfully… I’d still choose loving pets from my humans over toys most days 😄
One thing I have definitely learned to love? A frozen peanut butter Kong 🥜❄️ Those are amazing.
On walks, I’m a stronggg boy and currently doing better with a harness or a gentle leader. I could still use some patience and continued training, especially when it comes to squirrels and bunnies 🐿️🐇
I mean… can you really blame me?!
As for other dogs, I’m pretty neutral right now. I don’t seem super interested in making dog friends at the moment, though that may change as I continue settling into home life. I met a few dogs at the shelter before headed to Chicago but since being here, and I think they are ok! My foster parents think I am still just settling in.
If you’re looking for a calm, loving, gentle, loyal, sweet, giant angel of a dog… I might just be your guy.
