Hi everyone! It's Coco and Lexi here and we are looking for our forever home. We are a bonded Chocolate Lab pair and we just LOVE each other so much so we really want to go home together. We haven't had the best start in life - until MLRR rescued us, we spent our entire lives chained up outside and were used for breeding. But we are just two sweet (and beautiful) Labs who only want attention and love.
Since we have only lived inside a house for just a few weeks, everything inside - eating out of a bowl, regular meals, treats, toys, leashes, kennels, stairs, doors, you name it - is pretty new to us. It's true - we need to be trained. But we only want to please and our foster mom says we are sweet to the core. Guess what? We both LOVE riding in the car, and Coco could drive around for hours with the window rolled down. We also love music and really love it when our foster momma sings to us (even though she can't really sing but don't tell her that we said that).
Okay, Coco here to tell you more about me. I will willingly go into my crate and am happy with a bully stick to chew on. I've never really had toys before so I don't quite know what to do with them. Maybe you could teach me? I am a graceful and fast runner, though! I do love to run around the yard at my foster home but I can jump a 4-foot-tall fence so be careful. I immediately come when called, even if there is a rabbit or squirrel trying to tempt me with a game of chase. It's true that I am a bigger boy but I am extremely gentle with people, even little kids. I will quietly and calmly stand for as long as you want to pet me because I'm a cuddler at heart - I want as much petting and loving as you can give!
My turn! Lexi here. I also willingly go into my crate with a little treat thrown on my bed. I'm a gorgeous girl and I LOVE to have my thick, beautiful ears stroked. In fact, I will put my head right in your lap while you pet me. I'm kind of intimidated about being outside and I never leave my foster mom's side except to run once in a while with Coco. I am learning to go potty outside and I still have accidents in my kennel so you should probably make sure I have done my business outside first. I'm great with people but timid when in a large group.
So what do you say? We think you need a double dose of Chocolate love! So come meet us, fall in love with us and take us home, please. We would be so very grateful to have our very own forever home!
