Hi, I’m Bentley! My family gave me up when they were expecting a baby. I spent my whole life loved and living with kids, cats, and other dogs, so ending up in rescue was a big change. But I’m thriving in my foster home!
I’m a happy, playful guy who’s always up for fun. Fetch? Yes, please. Tug? Absolutely. Keep away? Game on! I love playing with my foster dog siblings, but I really adore my foster humans, so don’t be surprised if I follow you from room to room (even to the shower... just saying hi!). Although playtime is great, my #1 favorite activity is following my humans around the house and taking long naps by their feet. In my past life, I think I was an athlete but now I am just as happy sniffing and lounging.
I’m also a smart and polite gentleman! I know how to sit, stay, shake, and I’ve got great recall. I eat my meals with manners, I don’t jump on people. I’m not one for slobbering all over you, but if you get close enough, I might sneak in a few friendly licks on your face.
True to my Lab roots, I don’t mind a little rain, and I’m always ready for a walk. My foster mom says I probably didn’t get walked much before, so she got me this cool front-clip harness that’s making a big difference. I’m also working on shedding a few pounds (about 10 to go), and I’m making great progress!
I’ve got a big “woof” when the Amazon guy shows up, but really, I’m just a big softie, full of wiggles and love for every new person I meet. So, if you're looking for a guard dog, I might not be your guy. But if you want a loyal, playful, affectionate companion who’ll stick by your side and fill your days with joy, then we should talk. 🐾
