Hi, I’m Beau – a sweet, handsome senior with the heart of a puppy outside and the soul of a couch potato inside.
I’ve had a big life change recently. My owner experienced a medical emergency and couldn’t care for me anymore. I spent a few days adjusting, but once I realized I was safe, my personality came right out – calm, friendly, and full of love. Now I’m ready for a new forever home, and I can’t wait to settle in.
At home, I’m the ultimate low-maintenance companion. I’ll nap in the same cozy spot for hours, don’t get into anything I shouldn’t, and have perfect house manners. No crate needed, no accidents, no counter surfing – just a quiet presence and some gentle tail wags when you walk by. I’ll happily sleep wherever you want me, and I’m more than happy to sleep in if that’s your vibe.
But say the word “outside” and I come to life. I’ve got the energy of a much younger dog – yes, I did recently go to the dog beach and go on a 7-mile walk after, and I loved every minute of it. I walk nicely on leash, enjoy sniffing around, and I’m always up for an adventure… though I’m just as content with a shorter stroll or a yard to poke around in.
I’m great with every person and dog I meet – no one can believe I’m 10 when they see me bounce up with a tail wag and bright eyes. I’m not a big player, but if a younger pup invites me to bounce around, I’ll definitely engage. I might let out a few excited barks if I see a dog I really like from afar, but I’m always polite in person.
I’ve got a clean bill of health from the vet – no mobility issues, no special meds, and I’m feeling great. I’ve got a solid appetite, excellent house manners, and a special love for chicken. I’ll sit politely, give you a paw, and even throw in some puppy-like whines to let you know how much I want a bite.
If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who’s easy inside, lively outside, and full of heart, I might just be your guy. After everything I’ve been through, I’m more than ready to be home.
