Hi, I’m Jake! I'm a big sofite with an even bigger heart, I and can't wait to find the best fit for me! You may remember me from before - I have found my way back to MLRR after being adopted by a family with a little dog who wasn't the right friend for me. My new dad tried to get us to be besties but the little guy was too afraid of me and I was just not comfortable with him. I'm still as loveable and friendly as always, and here to find my NEW and hopefully last forever home with big dogs like me (or as your one and only canine love)! If you’re into loyal companions, goofy grins, and well-mannered pups, we might just be a perfect match!
I love the simple things—fetch, car rides, long walks, and quality time with my humans. I’m fully potty trained and crate trained, but I’ll let you in on a secret: I don’t even need the crate anymore! I’m a total gentleman when left alone, day or night.
I’ve even mastered the art of “house rules” - I'm a good listener and love to be called over to hang out with you on the rare occasion I need to be redirected. Please no stairs or basement for me (unless you bribe me, but hey, I’m a good sport about it). I walk well on a leash and just get a little excited when I see other dogs or squirrels. Nothing a little guidance can’t fix!
Speaking of other dogs—I love them when they're sturdy companions who love to romp and enjoy a fun game of tug-of-war like me! I’m also happy to kick back with a chew toy and relax by your side - who doesn't love a nice nap?!
