Life wasn't always kind to me. Before MLRR rescued me, I didn't get the love and care every dog deserves. But now that I know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and part of a family... I never want to lose that feeling. All I'm missing now is my forever home.

I already know sit and paw," and I'm a great listener. Mostly, I just like being wherever my people are. If you walk into another room, I'll happily come with you... not because I need anything... I just enjoy your company.
Now... full disclosure... if you accidentally leave a sandwich hanging over the edge of the counter... I may assume it was left there for me. I mean... can you really blame me? 🥪😂
💤 Professional Snuggler: My favorite place to sleep is wherever my family is. Whether it's on your bed or my dog bed right beside you, I'll sleep peacefully all night long. I just love knowing I'm home.
🌳 Every Walk is a Sniffari: I'm not trying to set any speed records. Walks are for sniffing every tree, flower, mailbox, and fire hydrant like they're breaking news. I walk nicely on leash and get more confident every day around bigger dogs. A gentle "Leave it, Gunner!" or "Let's go!" (especially if treats are involved 😋) helps me stay focused.
🎾 Things That Make Me Happy
❤️ Frozen peanut butter Kongs (my absolute favorite!)
🎾 Carrying a tennis ball around, even if I don't feel like chasing it.
🐟 My little stuffed fish.
🦴 Benebones and Nylabones.
🍪 Pretty much any treat you're willing to share.
When I finish my peanut butter Kong, I proudly carry the empty one around because... it still smells like peanut butter. My foster family thinks it's hilarious. I think it's perfectly logical.
❤️ My Love Language: Cuddles. I don't just sit next to you... I gently melt into you. I'll lean against your leg, rest my head in your lap, and happily accept unlimited belly rubs and ear scratches. If love could wag its tail, that's basically me.
My Dream Family: I'd really love to be your one-and-only pup so I can soak up every bit of love you have to give.
I enjoy meeting kids on walks and would probably fit best with a retired couple or a family that enjoys a slower pace of life. Older kids would be wonderful, but I'd likely do well with younger ones too who understand I'm more of a cuddle expert than a wild man.
Road trips? Count me in! 🚗 I'll happily stick my nose out the window for a while... then curl up and snooze until we get wherever we're going.
🩺 A Little About My Health: Because I wasn't cared for before rescue, I'm finishing treatment for a few tummy worms (just two more weeks to go!). After that, I'll receive my heartworm treatment and be neutered.
The amazing people at MLRR are covering all of my veterinary care with their veterinary partner in Naperville, including my heartworm treatment and neuter, so my future family won't have to worry about those expenses.
The funny part? You'd never know I'm going through any of it! I'm happy, playful, easygoing, and my foster family says my calm personality will make heartworm recovery nice and easy.
