Hi there! My name is Yoda, also known by the name of Koda. What you see is what you get; 85 pounds of pure labby, loyal, love. I’m a 5-year-old yellow lab mix who is looking for love.

I love hanging with my people; I would do best in a home without other dogs, but I am all the dog you will ever need!

I am a big boy, but I don’t really get that! I will happily sit on your lap, lean against you, or even climb up to give hugs. I’m still learning personal space, and I like to be right in your face to give you kisses. Because of this, I’d probably do best in a child-free home.

I’m tall enough to sniff the counters but I have never jumped up to grab anything, and I have never taken food that didn't belong to me. Potty training is something you won't have to worry about. I will let you know when I have some business to take care of by going to the door and looking back at you.

Walking is one of my favorite things ever! When we go to new places or new neighborhoods, I’m very excited and may pull a bit, but once I’m familiar with the area, my walking skills really shine.

If you’re on the computer, I’ll lay at your feet; if you're making dinner, I’ll be right there next to you on scrap patrol. I definitely understand that there’s a time and place for crazy, fun energy, and I’m able to calm down and chill out when I need to.

Although most of the time I want all the love and pets and cuddles you have to offer, sometimes (usually later in the evening) I like to have my own personal space and time. My foster family has learned my boundaries – they always ask me for consent by reaching their hand out to me. If I’m open to pets I will lean into their hand; if I need some alone time, I will turn my ahead away.

My crate is my safe place. When I want to be alone, I will happily go in there and hang out. My foster fam knows to let me be when this happens. I love being in my crate and have no qualms with going in there and spending time there when my foster family needs to go out or can't be with me.

I’m an extremely intelligent dog. Anything my foster family teaches me I pick up really quickly.
