Hi everyone! My name is Sunny, or as my foster mom calls me, Little Miss Sunshine! I am a happy and sweet girl, about 5-6 years old. I’m a Lab mix, and I’ve got the cutest “freckles” on parts of my coat. Everyone tells me how pretty I am! My M.O. is that I love people: big people, little people, girl people and boy people! However, I'm not so keen on dogs. You see, I actually have some anxiety around other dogs and don’t quite know how to interact with them. So I prefer to just avoid them altogether, and hang out with my people. Oh how I love people! I also love to snuggle and play catch. I am very well behaved, I have all of my basic manners, and I do not counter surf, dig in the garbage or have other bad habits in the house. I'm even crate trained! I'm not afraid of fireworks, thunder or other loud noises. It's really just other doggies that I get anxious about. But I have found some medication that helps me with my anxiety, and that's no big deal; it's just like when people take medication to manage their issues! My foster mom has also been working on some training with me to help me better manage my anxiety when I do come across other dogs. So for me, my perfect forever home would have a big fenced in yard where I can play catch, run around and sniff, be with my people, and not be with other doggies or kitties.
I've been with MLRR for quite some time. See, when they pulled me from the shelter where I went after I was found on the streets, I was really sick; I had pneumonia but I’m all better now. Oh, and I was pregnant! I had a litter of 11 puppies while under MLRR’s care, and they all got great forever homes! MLRR has been so good to me and helped me with all of my issues. They can't believe how incredibly sweet I am after all the things that haven't gone so well in my short life. But it’s time now for me to move on, so MLRR can help save another Labbie.
