Hi everyone! I’m Slate, a young, silver-coated ball of fun, energy, and fun!
If you’re looking for a pup who’s equal parts playful goofball and loyal sidekick, well… hi, nice to meet you! I absolutely love to play, doesn’t matter if it’s with other dogs, kids, or a pile of toys, I’m always ready for a good time.
Fetch? Oh, I’m great at fetch. I’ll even bring the ball back to you… unless something VERY interesting catches my eye, and then, well, we’ll call it a “creative break.” I’m also a big fan of tug-of-war, and I take my job as Top Tug Champion very seriously.
Walks are one of my favorite adventures! I get so excited that I can pull a bit, but my foster is helping me learn and I’m getting better every day. I’m also learning that counter surfing isn’t polite, even if the food smells AMAZING.
I already know “sit” and “come,” and I’m really proud of how quickly I’m learning new things. Sometimes I get so happy that I jump up, but my foster says I’ve made huge progress on that too. I’m potty trained, I love my crate, and I’ll snooze peacefully in it until you come back home.
I really just want to make my people happy and be the best dog I can be. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, playful buddy who’s ready for adventures, cuddles, and endless laughs, I think we’d be perfect together. I can’t wait to meet my forever family!
