Hi, my name is Skylar, but my foster mom nicknamed me Sugarplum because I'm so sweet and sparkly white. I am a senior girlie and a bit pleasingly plump, but I have lots of energy for walks and play. Walks are my favorite, but I will chase a ball and find it for you and then wait until you come and get it from me.
I get really happy when we walk out to the car because I know it means a ride to the park...I just need a little boost getting in sometimes. When we get to the park, I'm a champion on the leash and don't pull...even when we meet other crazy dogs on the pathway.
At home you can call me Miss Manners. I don't bark or jump up on people or take food that is not mine. You have to watch out for my tail because I wag it with enthusiasm. I am dignified and don't beg for food but will delicately take any treats you offer.
People are my favorite. I will follow my humans anywhere. when they are busy or go out though I am content to curl up on my bed and meditate for a bit. If you invite me on the couch I am thrilled to snuggle up and keep you company.
I would really like to curl up with these cats, but they are very snobby and ignore me. I was once a city girl who lived happily in an apartment and loved to go to the dog beach. Now I'm a farm girl and love to play outside too! So, if you are looking for a well-trained, calm and affectionate companion, I'm the girl for you. Like I said, I'm pleasingly plump and little older but a lot wiser. I'm just hoping for somebody to love me like I'll love them and keep me forever.
