Hi everyone! I’m Piper, aka Little Miss Piper as my humans call me 🐶
I’m a charming Southern lady all the way from Louisiana 🌸 The nice folks at MLRR got me out of a shelter there, and next thing you know… I’m in Chicago!
First things first… I’m being treated for heartworm, but I’m doing great ❤️ I just have to take it easy for a while, and I’m very happy to be in a comfy home while I recover. And even better, MLRR will pay for my entire treatment (although they tell me I am already 1/2 way done!).
I know you’re looking at my photos, so let’s confirm what you see… I am gorgeous ✨ Soft, velvety brown fur and stunning green eyes 💚 But like your Easter chocolates 🍫 it’s what’s inside that counts — and everyone here has fallen in love with me. Even the vet says I’m a sweet, friendly pup.
When you meet me, I’ll greet you with a full-body wiggle, a happy tail, and probably a kiss 🐾
I’m getting braver every day. Storms don’t bother me ⛈️ but I’m still learning that car rides are okay (even if I’d rather ride shotgun 😄). I don’t bark much — just when my people come home or the doorbell rings.
My foster sister has been amazing 🐶💕 We were instant friends, and she helps me feel right at home. We share toys, cuddle, and keep each other company.
I love being close to my humans — if you sit down, I’ll be right there with you 🛋️ I’m happiest when everyone’s home, but I’m learning it’s okay when they leave.
I love food 😋 (sometimes a little too much — oops!), and I’m working on my manners. I’m learning sit, wait, and come, and I already know to do my business outside — I’ll just quietly wait by the door like a little lady 👑
I’m still basically a puppy with lots to learn, but I’m off to a great start and can’t wait to find my forever home 💕🐾
