Meet Nelly!
Hi there! I’m Nelly, a playful, affectionate pup looking for my forever home. I’ve got good energy and a big heart, and I’m always ready for fun! Whether it’s chasing after a ball (even if I forget to bring it back) or just being silly, I know how to keep life entertaining.
I get along well with other dogs and love trying to play with them—sometimes nonstop! I’m also okay with cats. Kids are great too, though I sometimes forget my size and get a little excited, especially when new people walk in the room (expect some happy jumping!).
I’m still learning my leash manners and I am a super strong guy. Walks are exciting, especially when I see other dogs—I just want to say hi! I tend to pull, but I’m very food-motivated, so treats go a long way in helping me focus. I can't wait to meet my forever family who will help me with my training! My fosters got me this thing called a gentle leader and what a difference! I am doing so well!
At home, I’m crate-trained and sleep quietly through the night. I may need a little encouragement to go in sometimes, but once I’m there, I settle right in. I’m also fully potty trained and ride well in the car.
Some of my quirks? I’ll happily counter-surf if something smells good, and I’m convinced I’m a lap dog—I love snuggling close to my people. I’m sweet, goofy, and always up for cuddles.
