Hi friends! My name is Hallie and I was adopted to a great family a few weeks ago but their lifestyle has changed a bit and I am hopeful to find a new (and hopefully forever) home!
Since settling into my home in Chicagoland, I’ve shown everyone what a lovely, relaxed girl I am. I have lived with tons of kids and think they are the absolute best. My mom is also a professional dog walker so I have met just a bazillon dogs and I am super easy going with everyone. I am more of a neutral girl though and happy to share my space with other dogs but Im not a big run/play partner. I am a sit on the porch and observe kinda gal. Although, I have been known to play, run, wrestle, but prefer that in small doses.
My personality is classic easygoing Lab. I’m a low-key kind of girl who simply enjoys being part of whatever my people are doing. Whether it’s a nice walk, relaxing around the house, going to a baseball game, picking the kids up from school, a weekend trip to Lowes, splashing at the pond, or just keeping you company from room to room, I’m happiest when I’m near my humans.
Some of my favorite things include:
• Long walks and exploring all the interesting smells
• Hanging out with my people wherever they are
• Cozy naps (I’m a big fan of a good nap!)
• Chewing on a bone or bully stick
• Spending time with friendly dogs
Around the house, I’m a wonderful roommate. I don’t need a crate and do great when my people are away. I sleep soundly through the night and have excellent house manners. Sometimes when new people come over that I do not know, I can get a little worried (are they here to take me away?) but with reassurance and reminders that I am ok, I settle in and love everyone!
I came to MLRR after being treated with Heartworm. But, I am healing so nicely! My vet took some pictures (x-rays) of my chest back in February and again in March and all of my vets say I am doing SO good with my healing. My foster mom will tell you all about it when you call her!
Overall, I’m what many people would call a perfect Labby companion: loving, loyal, relaxed, and happy to be part of the family. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key girl who will happily join you for walks, relax with you at home, and bring lots of love into your life, I’d love to meet you.
