Hi friends! My name is Natalia, but everyone calls me Tali. I’m a 55-pound Lab girl with a gentle heart, kind eyes, and a really lovely temperament.
My life started with a few bumps along the road, but things have been looking up ever since I landed with Midwest Labrador Retriever Rescue. When I first arrived at the shelter, I tested heartworm positive. The wonderful people there made sure I received the treatment I needed, and I’ve worked hard through weeks of medication and care. I’m almost at the finish line and will officially graduate from treatment on March 13th with just a few pills left! 🎓💊
Since coming to my foster home, I’ve really started to blossom. Meeting my two sweet foster Lab siblings helped me realize that life can be pretty great. I’m a thoughtful girl who likes to take a moment to observe new people or dogs, but once I’ve had a quick sniff and get the lay of the land, I’m happy to join in and make new friends.
I have a really easygoing Lab personality. I enjoy being part of whatever my people are doing — whether that’s going for a nice walk, hanging out around the house, or relaxing together after a busy day. I love following my humans from room to room just to keep them company.
Some of my favorite things include:
• Long walks and exploring new smells
• Hanging out with my people wherever they are
• Cozy naps (I do love a good nap!)
• Chewing on a good bone or bully stick
• Spending time with friendly dogs
I would do great in a home by myself or with a nice, neutral dog buddy who also enjoys companionship and hanging out together. I’m very polite with other dogs and enjoy their company.
I’m also a very trustworthy girl in the house — I don’t need a crate and do great when my people are away. I sleep soundly through the night and have wonderful house manners. I’m still learning the stairs, but I’m getting braver every day and improving quickly.
I’m not reactive at all and I enjoy calmly meeting new people. Life is starting to feel pretty good, and every day I grow more confident and happy.
Overall, I’m what many people would call the perfect Labby girl: loving, loyal, gentle, and happy to be part of the family.
