Hi Guys!
Hi! I’m Milo! Belly rubs, cozy naps, and sticking close to my humans are my favorite things, if you sit down, there’s a very good chance I’ll try to sit right next to you… or halfway on you.
I’m completely house-trained and a true gentleman. I have my own polite “Milo speak.” If I sit and stare at you or bounce around a bit, that’s my way of saying, “Excuse me, may I please go potty?” I know basic commands like sit, down, and paw, and my foster family says I’m smart, eager to please, and a quick learner.
Walks are one of my favorite adventures, especially all the amazing smells! I get very excited when the leash comes out, but once we’re walking, I’m calm and polite around people and other dogs. I also love car rides and would make an excellent road-trip buddy.
I don’t need to be crated and do great with free roam of the house. I’m not destructive, but I am curious—especially about snacks left on counters or tables. I also have a soft spot for socks and dish towels, so I’ll happily help you practice keeping things tidy.
Loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms can be a little scary for me, but I do just fine when I have a cozy, safe place to hide, like under a desk or table. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and love running zoomies in the yard with my foster siblings.
At night, I sleep on my doggie pillow in my foster parents’ bedroom because I’m happiest when I’m close to my people. I love them so much. With patience, routine, and lots of love, I continue to grow.
I am also a sweet, sensitive boy who is ready to find a calm, loving forever home where I can truly shine. Like many rescue dogs, I went through a short period of stress and transition when I first came to MLRR. During that time, I became overwhelmed in a busy moment with young children and reacted by trying to create space. Importantly, there was no bite, just a pup who needed a little help learning how to navigate new situations.
Since then, I have settled beautifully into my foster home and has shown my people who I really am. With consistency and a stable environment, I have been doing very well around everyone and has proven to be a gentle, affectionate companion.
I may show a little stress when left alone at first, but I settle quickly and continues to improve as I gain confidence. I thrive on routine, reassurance, and being part of a home where he feels safe.
I would do best with: A family that understands I may need a little time to adjust, a calm home environment, and continued positive reinforcement and patience as I builds confidence!
