Hi, we're Mavis and Lila — the easiest, sweetest, most lovable pair you’ll ever meet. We’re calm, affectionate, and super easygoing girls who just want to be near our people and each other. We’re totally bonded and make a beautiful little team. ❤️
Our story starts with a lot of love. Our mom adored us deeply — we’ve been cherished since we were tiny puppies. But when she faced serious medical issues and had to give up her home, she made the incredibly hard decision to surrender us to MLRR so we could continue to be safe and cared for. Even though it broke her heart, she gave us the biggest gift of all: a future. And because we’ve only ever known love, we've never had a single day of stress in our lives. We’re just happy, well-adjusted girls ready to share that love with a new family.
We check so many boxes: we're both potty trained, great in the car, love to splash in the water, and we're really good at sharing — especially when it comes to our favorite game: fetch! We both love to run and chase the ball (Mavis is especially proud of her pro-level retrieving skills 😅), which makes us super easy to exercise. A few throws of the ball and we’re happy as can be!
Lila here — I’m the mellow yellow one. I’m gentle, affectionate, and absolutely devoted to my sister. I walk like a dream on leash and just love to be with my people. I’m healthy and happy, though I do have a mild seizure disorder that MLRR is helping me manage. It doesn’t slow me down one bit!
And I’m Mavis — the sleek black beauty! I’m a total ball fanatic and I always bring it back (you're welcome). I know a few commands and I’m doing really well learning new things, especially leash walking. I’m happiest just hanging out near my humans and letting Lila take the spotlight — she’s the queen of calm.
