Hi!!! I’m Lola, and I would love to be your very best friend!
If you like playing and taking naps (and who doesn’t?!), we’re going to get along just great. I can’t decide what I love more—playing fetch with my toys and my humans, or snuggling up with those same toys on my cozy dog bed by the fire. (Don’t worry, I’m happy to snuggle with my humans too 😊.)
Honestly, I’m just happiest when I have a warm, safe, and fun place to call home—and a family to call my own. I show my appreciation with my good humor, excellent manners (if I do say so myself), and lots of affection.
A little more about me:

I’m about 5 years old, and my energy level matches that perfectly. I enjoy nice walks and playtime, but I’m also a pretty chill gal. During the day, I love curling up in my dog bed, and at night I happily go into my crate for a long, restful sleep.

I’m gentle and sweet and would be great with kids. Really, I like all people—I’m not picky!

I get along well with my foster dog brother, though I do like being the first one out the door, so I may enjoy being in charge.

I respond to my name, know how to sit, and I’m very well behaved both in the house and on a leash. I wait patiently for my food, I’m house-trained, and I’m a great listener… even when I’m asked to get off that very comfy couch.

I’ve been told I have the cutest face, soulful eyes, and beautiful chocolate-colored fur.

When I first came into rescue, I had some itchy skin, but the very nice vets started me on Apoquel, and I’m feeling so much better! My skin is looking great now, and once I’m home, I may just need a visit with your vet to see if I even need to stay on this medication.
One more thing: I’m currently being treated for heartworm, but please don’t worry! MLRR is covering all treatment costs with one of their trusted veterinary partners. This just means a few extra vet visits, some daily pills with my dinner for a bit longer, and keeping my activity level calm until I’m fully recovered.
