Hi there! My name is Knight, and I’m a happy, playful pup who’s ready to find my forever family.
I absolutely love people, especially kids, and I’m great with other dogs too! I’ve got that perfect mix of fun and affection: whether it’s running around the yard, going for a walk, or curling up for some snuggles after playtime, I’m all in. You’ll always get a wagging tail and a big smile from me!
I’m already potty trained and crate trained (yep, I go in without even being asked), so I’ve got the basics covered. I walk nicely on a leash, although I do get a little excited when I spot a squirrel. I’ve also been known to get a bit curious about cats, if you have one, I just need a little time and some boundaries to learn how to be the best roommate. With patience and structure, I can absolutely learn to share space with a feline friend.
I’d love a home where there’s a bit of activity and someone around more often than not, but I’m also a good boy and can hang out in my crate if you need to step out or go to work. A family with a flexible schedule would be a great match, I just love being part of the action when I can!
There’s one more thing I want to share: I’m heartworm positive. But don’t worry, I’ve already started treatment with MLRR, and they’re covering the full cost at one of their trusted vet partners. All I need is a loving family to help me through the rest of it. Once I’m further along, I’ll need to take it easy for a few weeks while the medicine does its job, but that just means extra cuddle time! Heartworm is, sadly, all too common in the South, but with treatment, dogs like me recover completely, and I’m already on my way.
