Hi everyone! It’s me - Reggie Knight! You may have read about the 14 dogs from Louisiana. Well I am part of that pack too! My foster mom was told my name was Knight but then the next day she was told I was really Reggie. She laughed and said she would call me Reggie Knight. Once she started calling me Reggie, I knew she was talking to me!
It took me a few days to come out of my shell. I was unsure that I was allowed to go into the house and would hide under the porch. Now? No problemo! There’s a comfy bed, a bowl full of water, and a bowl of food with salmon oil gravy. My foster mom said I was a reluctant eater but once that salmon oil was in my food...nom! Where I used to live, we had to fight so many other dogs for a meal, and I am a lover, not a fighter, so it took me some time to understand all that food was just for me!
I just love people so much that I need to be reminded of my manners. I like to kiss and kiss and kiss, so I have begun to learn “no” and “off”. I also love playing with other dogs so much that I have jumped the fence to get into the next yard to play with my new friends over there. Foster mom says I need to be with a family with a TALL fence. I am also not a fan of noisy things like the vacuum or blender, but I think I just need some more exposure and then it’ll be okay.
I LOVE going on walks and have become a good walker, until those trouble making squirrels come along … I’m working on it! I play hard but I also rest hard. There’s nothing better than finishing the day with belly rubs and kisses.
I am so excited to find my forever home. Foster mom says some family is going to be very lucky to have me! Will it be you?
