Reggie Knight

Available for Adoption!

Hi everyone! It’s Reggie Knight here! You may have seen me hanging out in the “Coming Soon” room for a few months. Well, there’s a really good reason for that.

See, I am a one-of-a-kind guy whose had a rough go of it but luckily about a year ago I got rescued from Louisiana along with a whole bunch of other dogs I used to hang with. We were on our own a lot, so I didn’t really have a role model to learn good manners from. Sort of a wild child!

But here’s the good news! I did get rescued and for the better part of the past year I have undergone a major transformation. I am not going to lie it has taken a lot of work and dedication from a lot of people to help me become the best dog I can be. I’ve been very lucky to work with some top professionals who helped identify where the work was for me. My behavioral doctor has prescribed some medication that has made my less anxious and I don’t get triggered as easily. Don’t get me wrong…if a squirrel crosses my path, it still makes me crazy but foster mom has gotten some tips on how to recondition my thinking, but it’s going to take more consistent practice.

I’ve also met a great guy named Steve who comes and plays with me and feeds me cheese when I do all the stuff he asks. It’s really fun! He says that I will be a great pet for someone as long as I have a fenced in backyard with a six-foot fence.

A tall fence is key for me because I once got out and got into an altercation with a smaller dog. I don’t know why I reacted the way I did but I can tell you that I have a lot of fear because I came from a hoarding situation. Since then, I’ve been working really hard and have made great progress but still have a long road ahead. I am super friendly and absolutely love everyone I meet! Humans are awesome and I’m looking for that special someone who has patience and is willing to work with me. I will give you so much love, laughter, and companionship in return!

I am still a work in progress but I’m ready for that home that wants to help me along. I love training and have a very strong drive to learn new things. I pretty good at it!

I would love to meet you and my foster mom would be happy to tell you everything you need to know. How about it?
