Hi, I’m Gunnar, a sweet and easygoing guy from the Show-Me State of Missouri, and I’d love the chance to show you what a great companion I can be. I’m a low-maintenance pup who enjoys spending time with my people, whether that means hanging out while you clean or relaxing nearby with my favorite stuffies. I’m perfectly happy entertaining myself, but I soak up every bit of love and attention you give me. I’m a curious fellow and often cock my head in the cutest way when you talk to me.
I get along great with other dogs and became fast friends with my foster brother. Sometimes we enjoy playful chasing or tug-of-war, and other times we’re content to just coexist peacefully. My sweet, gentle nature makes me a great fit for a home with kids and other pets, or I’d be just as happy as your one-and-only companion.
I absolutely love going for walks, especially slow, leisurely strolls where I can take my time investigating all the smells. If you’re looking to rack up steps, I may not be your man, but I’ll happily join you for relaxed neighborhood walks. Occasionally, I may give a little bark or growl when we meet other dogs or people, but I don’t have a mean bone in my body and I quiet down when you ask.
At home, I’m an excellent companion. I love sleeping, especially with you, and I’m not an early riser or restless at night. Every now and then, I might even treat you to a soft, soothing snore. I have a healthy appetite and don’t beg for food, though if you leave chicken on the counter, I might be tempted (it only happened once!). I’m also a fan of car rides—crack the window and I’m a perfect passenger.
I don’t use a crate in my foster home and have done well when left alone, especially if I have some fun, challenging toys to keep me busy.
