Hi! My name is Gigi! I'm a 5-6month old Lab mix. I was found as a stray in TX - dumped along with my brother Hudson to fend for ourselves until some rescuers took us to safety! I've seen a LOT in my short life, including a transport from TX to IL with a bunch of other dogs, intake, and being shuffled around a little bit. I am now feeling safe and secure in my foster home.
I live with my foster mom & dad and 3 furry siblings. As a young gal, I am trying to figure out my place in the pack by testing the limits with the other dogs. Don't worry though! I get the message fast if I'm pushing too far, as I really just want to be friends. My foster parents are confident leaders, which is giving me my best opportunity to meet my full potential!
I walk great on a leash. I ride very nicely in the car. I’ve been exposed to horses and didn’t bat an eye. I am very mellow, and sleep quietly through the night in a crate. I know how to SIT and COME (most of the time). I am house-trained and have not had a single accident in my foster home, but I do occasionally like to check out what fun items might be on the counters! I will also grab a slipper or shoe if I can! I get playful in the evenings with my furry foster siblings, but for the most part, I’m content to find a comfortable location for a nap and spend my days relaxing.
