Meet Zoey, a sweet 7-month-old black Labrador with a heart full of love and a spirit that's unbreakable. Zoey has been diagnosed with Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD) in both shoulders, a painful condition that causes joint damage. Unfortunately, her shoulders are in such severe condition that her surgeon described them as the worst he’s ever seen. He said that she likely felt like she was walking with rocks in her joints. Without intervention, Zoey would face a lifetime of discomfort and potential disability.
Unfortunately, Zoey’s mom contacted us because she couldn’t afford the surgery and was desperate to save her precious pup. She made the difficult decision to ask us to not only provide the necessary medical care for Zoey but also help find her a forever home.
Her shoulders are painful, but Zoey is a fighter. Despite the severity of her condition, she’s walking with only a minor limp and remains active and alert. However, without this crucial surgery, she would struggle to live a comfortable life. The good news is that Zoey’s surgery was a success!
The cost of Zoey’s surgery and aftercare will be $10,000, which includes her surgery, medication, joint supplements, and three follow-up appointments to ensure her full recovery. We need your help to cover the costs and give Zoey the chance she deserves.
