“Hey there, Delilah, what’s it like in New York City…”
Okay, okay — for those who aren’t fans of the Plain White T’s, I’ll introduce myself the normal way. 😄 My name is Delilah, and I’m a pint-size Lab girl with a sunny personality and a whole lot of love to give. I traveled a long way to get here, and now I can’t wait to meet my forever family!
I’m a happy, playful girl whose favorite things include romping around with my big Labby foster brother, going on long walks, tossing my stuffed dinosaur high into the air, and enjoying a spirited game of tug-of-war. Oh — and treats… definitely lots of treats! 🦴
When playtime winds down, I’m more than happy to settle in on the couch with you — sometimes right on top of you if you don’t mind a little extra snuggle. I’m a great mix of playful and cuddly.
I’m also a very good girl when it comes to manners. I can stay home alone without getting into trouble, but if you’re heading out for a ride, I’d love to tag along! I’m wonderful in the car and walk nicely on a leash without barking or charging at other dogs.
Since I’m still young, I’m working on learning all my commands and practicing my listening skills when you call me — but I’m super smart and pick things up quickly.
People are one of my absolute favorite things. I love humans of all sizes — big ones, little ones, and everyone in between. I’ll happily trot over to collect pets (and maybe a treat or two) and give you a friendly little nudge if I think you’ve forgotten to admire me.
As for cats, I’m not aggressive with them — I’m just a bit too curious. I might do best in a home where I can admire them from a respectful distance.
