About a year ago, my mom adopted me, and I've had the BEST. LIFE. EVER. We've made so many wonderful memories together. Unfortunately, life has changed, and she now works 12–15 hour days. Even though I have amazing dog walkers who take great care of me, I'd really love a home where my people are around more often. 💙
This has been the hardest decision she's ever had to make, and because she loves me so much, she asked MLRR to help me find the perfect family to spend the rest of my adventures with.
I’m a go-anywhere, love-everyone kind of guy with a heart as big as my tail wags. I have the sweetest soul and just want to make my people happy!
🏡 The Basics: I'm house-trained, sleep through the night, walk well on a harness (though I can get pretty strong if I spot a 🐇 bunny or those pesky groundhogs!), come when called, and I LOVE car rides. 🚗 I ride great in the back seat and usually nap along the way.
🐶 I've met a few dogs and have gotten along great with each one after a proper introduction. Very energetic dogs can make me a little uneasy at first, but I warm up quickly.
🎾 A couple of walks a day and some backyard fetch are all I need! I'm not much for stuffed toys, bones, or most other toys—but throw me a ball, and I'll play until my legs give out! Sometimes I forget I'm not a youngster anymore and get a little sore afterward, but a good night's sleep and I'm ready to go again.
🧠 I'm a smart boy and learn routines quickly. I even have a built-in dinner clock! 🍽️
❤️ I can get lonely when I'm home alone and sometimes carry around a couch pillow or one of your shoes for comfort. I enjoy relaxing in my crate with the door open, but I get stressed if it's closed, so I'd much rather have the freedom to roam. I don't chew things, but I may look for you through the window after you leave. Once I settle down, I'm okay—and when you come home, I'll greet you like you've been gone forever! 🥰
🛋️ After all the excitement, my favorite place is snuggled up beside you on the couch. Oh... and I dream a lot! 💤
🍖 Like any self-respecting Lab, I'm food-motivated. I'll probably sit nearby during meals, but if you tell me "no begging," I'll happily go lie down. One more thing—I'm a big, tall boy with a strong tail, so you may want to keep your drinks up high! 😂
