My brother Cork and I were rescued from a very awful situation where they found us living outside with 8 other dogs. One by one, rescuers came into save ALL of us and although my brother has found his forever home, I am still waiting.
Even after everything I have endured, I’m dog- and cat-friendly, patient, and about as easygoing as they come. My mastiff foster brother can be a bit grumbly with me, but I simply pretend I didn’t hear that and carry on with my happy day. I also live with several cats and politely ignore them… even when they rub up against me like I’m part of the furniture.
I do love a good game of chase with my labby foster brother, and I show zero signs of resource guarding or aggression...sharing is caring, right?
I’m potty trained and neutered! I am new to being an inside dog but i caught on like a CHARM! Give me a short adjustment period and I’ll fit right in like I’ve always lived there.
People are my favorite thing. Cuddling? Yes please. All the time. I’ll happily stick by your side! If you’re in the other room, don’t be surprised if I magically appear next to you. I’m crate trained and getting used to being in a crate while I sleep every night, but my dream setup definitely involves me snoozing in bed with you!
Leashes are still super new to me, but I’m learning fast and I don’t pull. New sounds like loud cars can make me a teeny bit unsure, but I’m gaining confidence and my foster mama says she is so proud of me. I’m a quiet, well-mannered boy, great in the car, a good listener, and quick to learn because I really want to do the right thing.
I am heartworm positive, but no worries, MLRR will cover the full cost of my treatment at their partner, PAWS for a Cause, in Naperville. While I am going through treatment, I’m perfectly content with a nice walk or some backyard play time, so taking it easy will be a breeze.
I haven’t met kids yet, but with my sweet, gentle nature, I think I’d be great. If you’re ready to win the dog lottery, I’m a perfect boy ready to pay out a lifetime of love, cuddles, and companionship.
