Hi everyone, I’m Bina. 🤍
A month ago, my mom and dad dumped me on someone’s property. It was cold, and all I had was a little bit of straw that someone kindly put out for me. I didn’t understand why I was alone, or what I did wrong.
Then everything changed. As soon as MLRR heard about me, they scooped me up and brought me to Chicagoland. For the first time in my short life, I felt safe.
I’m still just a baby — about 10 months old and 55 pounds — so thankfully my heart is still wide open. I have learned that humans are gentle and kind. I have fallen in love with my foster mom and dad, and my furry foster siblings are showing me that I’m safe. I follow my people everywhere like a little shadow because I just love being near them.
Despite how my story started, I am truly the best girl. I’m potty trained, crate trained, and doing pretty good while walking with this cool thing that is called a gentle leader (hey, I likely have never been on a leash before). I ride beautifully in the car. I’m kind and respectful with my older foster dog siblings. One of my favorite things to do is gather up all the dog toys and carry them to my bed — it’s like I’m building my own little treasure pile. I am pretty easy going, I DO NOT identify as a high-energy dog, at all. I am a great mix of fun, calm, and ready-to-go all in one.
Because I was left outside, I have a few healing spots on my skin. I also tested positive for Lyme and Ehrlichia. I am on antibiotics now to clear me from any negative effects and should live a long, healthy, and likely symptom-free life! (Yay for antibodies!) I am happy to report that I am up to date on all my vaccines, I am spayed, and on the best preventatives so I never have to worry again!
All I want now is a forever family who will never leave me behind again — a home where I can keep collecting my toys, following my person from room to room, and finally know that I belong.
I’ve already lost my first family. I’m just waiting for the one who will be my last. 🤍
