Role Description - Marketing Coordinator


The MLRR Marketing Coordinator's role is to support and promote our rescue by active involvement through our social media channels. The ideal candidate has marketing and social media experience, preferably with a nonprofit, but not required. What is required is a passion for marketing and promoting our dogs!

The Marketing Coordinator will:

  • Create Foster Friday features and other social media posts to generate interest in specific dogs
  • Organize Facebook fundraisers when a need arises, i.e., an injured dog coming into MLRR has extraordinary medical expenses or a dog needs in-depth training to be successfully adopted out
  • Assist with fundraising by promoting fundraising campaigns
  • Help market and promote MLRR events and activities
  • Create and send e-blasts and MLRR newsletters when needed
  • Manage MLRR's social media channels - Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Attend quarterly Board/Coordinator meetings
