🐾 Hi there, I'm Axl!

Gentle and friendly, even with people I’ve just met, I want to be everyone’s buddy. 🤗 Give me a belly rub, though, and we’ll be BFFs forever! Belly rubs are my absolute favorite, but I’ll happily take any kind of love and attention. 💕

Smart? You bet! 🧠 I learned to sit in no time, and I picked up my foster family’s daily routine in just a few days. I'm eager to keep learning.

Walks are a big part of my day, and I’m a pretty good leash walker. 🦮 A really exciting smell can get me pulling, and so can those squirrels who like to tease me. 🐿️ When we pass other dogs, I’ll take a look, then go right back to minding my own business.

Barking isn’t really my thing. 🤫 My foster family has only heard me bark once or twice, both times when a noise startled me. Storms are the one thing that really scares me ⛈️, so on stormy days I’ll want you close by. If I get too worked up, some quiet time in my crate helps me settle, and music works wonders too. I love it when my foster brother plays guitar for me! 🎸

As long as my people are nearby, I’m up for anything: walks, car rides 🚗, playtime, and long naps. 😴

Food is my weakness, so keep an eye on any sandwich left on the counter! 🥪 Same goes for gates, because I can hop right over them. 🏀 If you can help me practice good kitchen manners, I’ll be a quick study.

On the health front, I’m being treated for heartworm and getting better every day! 💊
