Just like my Toy Story namesake, I hope I'm the kind of friend you'll want to keep forever. ❤️

I'm a young guy with a big heart, and I pretty much love everyone I meet!

👧 I love kids.
🐶 I enjoy playing with other dogs.
🐱 Cats don't bother me one bit. The foster kittens at my house even play with my tail, and I just let them! 😹
🚗 I'm a great passenger in the car.
🦴 I love tug-of-war, wrestling with my dog buddies, and running around the yard.
🥰 When I wear myself out, my favorite place is right next to my people getting belly rubs.

I can be a little goofy. I'll zoom around the yard like I'm training for the Doggy Olympics, then five minutes later I'm stretched out on the floor watching the world go by through the window. Watching squirrels, birds, and the neighbors is one of my favorite hobbies!

I'm still young, so I'm learning new things every day. Sometimes when I first meet another dog, I get so excited that I don't quite know what to do with myself. I might jump, hump, or nip at their legs, but I'm not trying to be mean. I just need a reminder to settle down, and I take corrections really well. Once I relax, I'm just happy to be part of the pack.

Sometimes when I'm really excited or extra tired, I can get a little mouthy like a typical young pup. I've never been aggressive or hurt anyone. Usually a chew bone, a belly rub, or just a little time to calm down is all I need.

I've already come a long way! I walk nicely on my martingale collar, eat my meals in my crate like a good boy, and I'm doing great with my house manners. I was recently neutered, and I don't mark inside anymore. I may need a day or two to learn the routine in my new home, but I promise I'm trying my best.

❤️ There's one more thing I should tell you...

I'm heartworm positive, which means I'll need treatment. It doesn't change how much love I have to give, and I'm hoping someone will look past that and see the happy, loyal best friend I've been waiting to become.

🩺 The good news? MLRR has promised to cover the cost of my heartworm treatment through their trusted veterinary partner in Naperville, so my future family won't have to worry about that expense.

All I need is someone willing to open their heart and give me the forever home I've been dreaming about.
