Sugar is around 10 years old. She was kept in the garage 24 hours a day and she was barely fed or given water. The landlord of the home stepped in and took her in from the man she was living with. Sugar was the wives dog and she died 3 years ago.
Sugar has been staying with them since last Tuesday. They took her to see the vet and she weighs 38 pounds. They did a complete set of labs, urinalysis, fecal test, heart worm, and a 3-year-rabies shot.
She’s super friendly, loves other dogs, she’s fine with kids, she just needs to go to a home where she can get lots of love and attention. She has a little separation anxiety since her owner didn’t give her any attention at all.
She plays with plush toys. She carries them around in her mouth all day. From the family she is staying with: "For a dog that didn’t have such a good life you couldn’t tell by her behavior. She’s the sweetest lab I’ve ever seen. She just wants love and attention all the time. She’s kind of big and clumsy."
