Hi everyone! It's me, Junior. I am a 9-year-old black Lab mix who MLRR rescued from a shelter after my only owner had to give me up. Yeah, sometimes life really stinks. But good news! I landed in a really cool foster home. And although I don't really like this whole "diet and workout plan" they have come up with for me, I can't complain too much because they treat me pretty well. I'm 106 pounds of pure love but that crazy vet lady says I need to lose about 20 pounds, whatever.
My foster family calls me a gentle giant and says I kind of look like a big teddy bear. I'm super cuddly like a teddy bear, too! I love attention and I LOVE to be by my people. It's true, I can be a bit of a cry baby when my foster siblings have to go to this thing called "school" (why can't they just stay home and play with me?) but I get excited when they come home. I love to go for walks and, despite my size, I walk pretty well on a leash. I really love it when someone wants to scratch my ears or give me a belly rub or really give me any attention at all. And, bonus, since I am a senior dog, I am really well behaved. Seriously! I like to play with toys but I won't chew on anything I'm not supposed to. I also do not beg for food or even attempt to counter surf - awesome, right?
I currently live with three teenagers, my foster parents and two foster fur sisters. I get along just fine with my foster fur sisters, one of whom is a senior black Lab mix like me and the other is a 3-year-old. Sometimes they do make me a little nervous - women, am I right? They are also smaller and faster than me but I try to keep up when we play. I love tennis balls and squeaky toys, and I just love it when someone wants to throw a toy around for me!
