Adopted!
Hi Folks!
Cherry here with some news... I'm finally available for adoption! I know you all have been clicking on my adorable photo daily just waiting for this moment. Hey, me too. I had an ouchie on my foot and had to wear a silly "cone" for a few weeks - yuck. But honestly, it didn't stop me from playing with my foster sis and enjoying lots of new toys.
So, quick back history. I was a stray and spent just a few weeks in a shelter in Texas. They were very kind and helped transport me to the good people at MLRR. Then it was off to my foster family's home, where I instantly became besties with my foster fur sister. We play constantly which makes me happy because I'm still in that puppy phase. But then we snuggle together, always touching and I feel so content.
It was easy for me to adjust to life here in a warm, happy home. My fosters have a big fenced yard with lots of room for zoomies and exploration. Within a few days, I even learned how to "do my business" outside and even on command! Yup, I am a quick study, especially with treats and lots of petting. I take treats gently, sit, down and come flying when you say my name. I spent a few nights in the crate which was ok but then that cone came on. So now I sleep on a dog bed in the humans room-much better! And, I am a great sleeper apparently.
When my humans have to go out, my foster sis and I have lots of room to play and sleep on many couches. I guess they put up those baby gates because I don't always know what is a dog toy and what is a not... But I'm learning and will happily drop a sock when I see a treat!
So what don't I like? Hmmm, that's a hard one. I'm really brave so loud noises, storms, vacuum cleaners, door bells, etc. don't bother me. I'm happiest when my humans are here, but I'm ok now if they are gone for a bit. I would like to explore outside the fence, but I haven't tried to jump over . However, I have done some digging and have "helped" prune some shrubs. I love all the dogs I've met and people too. My foster mom wants to tell you all a few more things....
Cherry is a sweet, happy, playful puppy who is a joy to have around. She loves being part of the family. While she has typical puppy energy, she is calm and content after playtime with her fur sister. Cherry is a quick study and wants to please. Her favorite activity is cuddling with her humans and foster sis on the couch at the end of the day.
Wow, foster mom nailed it. I hope to meet you and know that it will be a love connection!
Love,
Cherry
