Hi there! I’m Robbie, so nice to meet you.
I was found wandering around a parking lot, and within minutes MLRR was on the phone arranging my ride to Chicago. Guess it was meant to be! I’m about 8.5 years old, weigh around 75 pounds, and I’m thrilled to be on my way to meet you.
First things first: I’m a very good boy. I’m smart, affectionate, and happily medium-energy. I enjoy two good walks a day and love being out and about, but I’m just as content relaxing with my people. My fosters say I’m a fantastic walker, calm, easy, and non-reactive when we pass other dogs or people. I walk nicely on leash with no pulling at all.
I’m a big fan of pets, long walks, and a good game of tug. Throw my rope and I will retrieve it, promise. One of my proudest talents? I can hold three toys in my mouth at once. Don’t let my slightly frosty face fool you, I still love to play and explore. I’ll happily follow you anywhere… yes, even to the bathroom.
Loud noises like vacuum cleaners, sirens, or excited Bears games don’t bother me. I just like being near my people. I enjoy spending time together whether we’re hanging out in the family room or settling in for the night. I sleep in my own bed right next to yours, because being close just feels right.
I understand basic commands, I know “no,” and I have excellent manners. I’m sweet and gentle with food and treats, even-tempered, and non-aggressive. Fun fact: I’ve recently discovered that I love Reddi-whip (in moderation, of course!).
I do have some arthritis, but I’m on a helpful medication that keeps me comfortable and feeling good. As long as I stay slim and active, I’m expected to enjoy many comfortable, happy years ahead.
When the sun hits my chocolate-colored coat, I really shine. I’m a lovable, loyal boy who would be a wonderful addition to a family with kids over 10. I can’t wait to see what comes next on my journey — and I hope it’s with you. 🐾
