I’m a sweet, peaceful boy who is happiest simply being near my people. I don’t ask for much—just some attention, companionship, and a place where I know I belong.
My foster family says I’m pretty much the best! I’m tall, dark, and handsome, with a big Labby head, soulful eyes, huge paws, and a long tail. Everyone I meet seems to gush over my good looks, but my sweet personality is what really makes me special. I’m a total social butterfly and would love to be the kind of dog my people can take everywhere—coffee shops, al fresco dining, parks, parades, road trips, you name it!
I’m doing great in my foster home. I live with a female Lab foster sister, and we get along really well. I’ve shown no signs of aggression and have also done wonderfully with kids, both younger and older, that I’ve met at home and around the neighborhood.
I’m also a great walking buddy! I walk nicely on a leash without pulling, and I’m an excellent passenger in the car. I like to play fetch, but I’m not obsessed. After a few rounds, I’m perfectly happy to settle down and enjoy playing with the ball or stick I just fetched. I’m food motivated, too—because, well, what Lab isn’t? 😋 I may have helped myself to a snack left on the counter once or twice, but I’m still a very good boy in the house and can be left out for periods of time without getting into trouble.
I’m not much of a barker, and I’m pretty easygoing. I have a feeling I’d love the water and might make a great swimming buddy. I’m certainly fascinated by it! I’m very interested in the bathtub and shower, and if my person is showering, I’ll literally stick my head right in to investigate. Eventually, I’ll settle down just outside the shower with my wet noggin waiting patiently for you to finish. 😂
I’m still learning a few things. I don’t really know my name yet, and “sit” is about the only command I have mastered so far. But I’m working on it! I just need someone with a little patience and positive reinforcement to teach me what I need to know. I’m eager to please and food motivated, so I think I’ll catch on quickly.
The crate isn’t my favorite place, but I’m a good boy when I have freedom in the house.
Right now, I’m finishing up my recovery from some complications after my neuter. The good news is that I’m recovering nicely and am almost completely back to normal. My foster family says I have a very lovable face and eyes that seem to stare right through you.
Maybe that’s because I’m trying to tell you exactly what I want.
A person of my own.
A home where I belong.
Someone who will take me along for life’s adventures.
And someone I can love every single day. ❤️
