I'm somewhere around 1-2 years old, although nobody knows for sure. What I do know is that I absolutely LOVE my people. If I were small enough, I'd happily spend every second sitting in your lap. Since that's not quite possible, I settle for being as close to you as physically possible. Showering? I'm right there with you, getting my head wet. Sitting on the couch? Perfect. Taking a nap? Even better.
I am a world-class kisser and firmly believe that every human deserves approximately 500 face licks per day. 😘
I also love other dogs. I need a bit to warm up to them, since my time as a stray has left me a little cautious but.. now, my foster siblings are some of my favorite friends. I know how to leave the grumpy one alone, and I spend my days playing tug, wrestling, and keep-away with my foster sister who wants to play. I'm a pretty submissive girl and like to make new dog friends by giving lots of polite face licks.
I am learning to walk nicely with a front-clip harness, although I'm still learning all about leash life when those bunnies run by. Honestly, if I had my way, we'd spend our entire walk stopping to sniff and read all the messages the neighborhood dogs left behind.
Even though I was found as a stray, I already knew how to sit, and I'm currently learning "shake." I'm smart, eager to please, and very responsive to gentle correction and food motivation is my love language. Sometimes I remind my foster mom that I am a young girl still learning, but a quick reminder and I am back on track.
With consistency and showing me where to go, I have become house-trained, I ride beautifully in the car, and visiting the vet doesn't bother me a bit. The crate isn't exactly my favorite place in the world, but I sleep quietly in it all night without any complaints and I will hang out in there while you are gone!
When meeting new people, I need to give them a big sniff down before I offer wiggles and licks. I'm still learning that everyone will be kind to me. I have made SO MANY new best friends with my foster mama and I can't wait to make more!
My only request is simple: please promise to love me as much as I'll love you. Because trust me, that's a whole lot of love. ❤️🐾
