Hi, I’m Henry – a sweet, snuggly, energetic, slightly goofy, and handsome chocolate guy who just wants to be your best friend.
I came all the way from Georgia after I turned up as a stray, hard to believe, right? I’ve got the softest brown fur, adorable white rear paws, and puppy eyes that make people melt.
I’ve definitely got that puppy energy, but mostly I just want to be near you. Seriously, I’m a total love. All I ever want is to flop down next to you (or on you), roll around with a toy, and soak up some pets. Inside or outside, scratch my head or rub my back and I’ll melt into you for as long as you’ll let me.
When I’m not snuggling, I’m all about the toys. Fetch is awesome but I’ll happily entertain myself with my toys, too. I’m curious about absolutely everything (adorable, right?).
I love long walks (4+ miles? No problem) and I recently went to the beach and absolutely looooved the water! And I’ve been great in the city, too, not reactive to noises, people, dogs, or new things. I love every dog I meet and I play really nicely: calm greetings, wagging tail, and then I’m off having fun. I greet strangers the same way, honestly. You’d think I was a circus dog sometimes the way I might happily bounce up to say hi from a few feet away, and then collapse into their arms for love.
I’m crate trained and sleep quietly through the night. I had a few accidents early on while adjusting to being in foster care, but I’ve been great since! Typical puppy stuff, I’m still learning some manners but I’m smart and eager to please.
I picked up “down” and “settle” in about 15 minutes. Not bad, huh? Sometimes I bark or whine a little when you leave, but I quiet down quickly. Other than that, I’m not much of a barker… just a happy, curious pup trying to figure things out.
