My name is Dixie, and I’m so happy that I’ve gotten the chance to find a family to love me forever!
I’m about a year old, so I’m still just a puppy, but I already know a lot of good stuff! 🎓🐶 I know how to sit for treats 🍖, which I really like. 😋
I love meeting new people, and I’ll sit right down so they can pet me. 🥰 Getting pets is my very favorite thing to do! ❤️🐾 As long as you’re petting me, I’ll happily keep sitting there and enjoying every second of it. 😊
I also know that pottying inside the house is bad manners, and nobody likes that! 🚫🏠💩 If you have to leave me alone, I’ll go right into my crate and won’t complain one bit. 🦴🛏️ At bedtime, I head into my crate and sleep peacefully until my foster dad tells me, “It’s time to get up, Puppy!” ☀️🐶
When people meet me, they tell me I have arms like a baseball player ⚾💪 and paws like baseball gloves 🧤🐾. I’m only about 60 pounds, but I’m pretty strong! 💪🐕
I’ve been working hard on walking nicely on a leash without pulling. 🚶♂️🐕 It can be tough when all those wonderful smells come my way! 👃🌳🌼 My foster dad puts something called a Gentle Leader on my nose to help me learn to walk beside him. I don’t love it very much 😅, but he sure does! It’s probably one of those things you just have to get used to.
I really enjoy chasing a ball or a toy. 🎾🧸 I’m still learning the “bring it back” part, but I’m trying! 😂
I even got to visit PetSmart! 🏪🐾 I met lots of nice people who petted me. Did I mention that I really like being petted? 😍 There were even two very small boys who gave me lots of attention, and I loved every minute of it. ❤️👦👦
