Hi everybody, I’m Patch!
My fosters say I’m the goodest boy ever because I already know all the important commands, Stay, Sit, Come, and Go. They also tell everyone that I walk very nicely on leash. I don’t need a super active family at all, just someone who enjoys a steady routine and some good company.
Every day at noon, I go on my special one-mile walk, which I love so much. After that? I take a nap… a long, glorious nap. I nap a lot, actually. I’m an active senior, which means I enjoy my adventures but I’m also a world-class snuggly snoozer.
At home, I like hanging out wherever my people are. I love my cozy bed in the warm kitchen, and I’ve also got a special bed by the front window so I can watch the neighborhood action (and yes, nap!). Even though the sofa and bed are offered, I’m a very polite guy and prefer my own comfy spots.
I’m playful, too! After dinner, I love a good game of tug-of-war, and I adore my tennis ball. Then… I nap again. When I come in from outside, I sometimes get excited and take the steps two at a time—just to show everyone I’ve still got some spring in me! My face may be frosty, but my spirit definitely isn’t.
My fosters say I’m very polite, I have a soft mouth when taking treats, and I always come find them when I need to go potty. They also tell me all the time that I’m a very smart dog.
I had only been with my foster family for three days when they hosted Thanksgiving. I didn’t jump on anybody, and I didn’t bark at all. I did rest my head sweetly on everyone’s legs at the dinner table. Did my adorable face earn me treats? Hehe… a gentleman never tells.
I love spending time outdoors, I love my daily walk, and I love relaxing around the house with my people.
All in all?
I’m still the goodest boy.
