I’m a handsome boy with a heart full of love and a nose for mischief. I may not be into fetch or squeaky toys, but give me a blanket, a shoe, or yesterday’s newspaper and I’ll turn it into modern art.
I’ve got a little puppy spirit still kicking around, and I’m not afraid to show it! I’m a gentle soul who just wants to be by your side. Seriously — if you move, I move. I’m loyal like that. I sleep soundly on the couch and wake up bright and early ready to start the day with you. I’m potty trained but I have been known to mark a little, so I will need a human to help me curb that behavior a bit!
Car rides, I’m working on it! I do great in a crate when you’re away, though I’d rather not sleep in one at night. I’m a couch guy, remember?
On walks, I get excited — especially when squirrels are involved. I’m still learning not to pull but MLRR got me this cool harness that is helping a TON. I’m a bit shy around other dogs and honestly, I’d probably do best as your one and only pup or with a pup who is nice and gentle with me. I might stick my paws up on the counter every once in a while to see if there is anything interesting up there for me! I am working on my basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “down" and I’m learning fast! I’m smart and eager to learn, especially if it means more time with you.
I’ll show you love in a hundred ways. Like sitting quietly next to you, sneaking a nap at your feet, or giving you that soulful look that says, “You’re my person.” If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with a dash of mischief and a whole lot of heart, I’m your guy. Let’s make some memories (and maybe shred a few newspapers together).
P.S. I’m heartworm positive, but don’t worry—the amazing people at MLRR have already started me on a safe, vet-guided treatment plan to help me get better. Heartworm is a treatable condition caused by parasites spread through mosquito bites, and while it takes a few months to fully recover, I can still enjoy a calm, loving home during that time. Even better? MLRR will cover the cost of my heartworm treatment at one of their approved vets after you adopt me! All I need is someone like you to help me heal. 💛
