Hi, I’m Miss Shadow, and true to my name, I’d love nothing more than to be your little shadow! I’m a young pup with a heart full of love, just waiting for a family to call my own. My journey hasn’t been easy—I was left to fend for myself alongside my sister, Harper, and missed out on experiencing what it’s like to be a puppy in a loving home. Thankfully, we were surrendered so we could have a better life, and now I’m ready to find my forever family!
I’m still very much a puppy at heart! I love to play, jump, and chew (I’m working on keeping that to just my toys—squeaky ones are my absolute favorite!). I don’t quite understand that humans aren’t puppies too, so I’d do best in a home with older kids who can help me learn some good manners. I’m doing really well with crate training (no whining, and I even take naps there on my own) and leash walking. I’m super curious and love every human, dog, sight, or smell I encounter in the city. At first, I was a little timid, but now I love meeting strangers on the street—they always tell me what a sweet, calm, and affectionate girl I am. When I see another dog, I might politely sit and wait for them to pass—or even better, I’ll wait for them to come play!
I’m also learning how to potty outside and can’t wait to show my new family how smart I am. I’d love a fur sibling to help show me the ropes, but I’d also be happy with a human who can give me plenty of exercise, playtime, and breaks from my crate. I’m super food-motivated and eager to learn, so I know I’ll be an amazing pup with a little training (puppy classes, anyone?). My foster dad said I learned “sit” and “down” in record time. I’m also very quiet—only barking if I hear a loud noise in the hallway of his apartment building.
Overall, I’m an easygoing girl with a playful side, as happy to chew toys on my own as I am to watch TV (I swear those people are real!). But my favorite spot will always be right next to you, ideally burrowed into your lap or rolling over for belly rubs. So, if you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and loyal pup who will love you forever, I might just be the one for you. Will you be my forever family?
