Hi, my name's Ruthie! I was used in a puppy mill to breed litter after litter and until about a month ago, I didn't know that humans could be so gentle and kind.
Before, I would huddle in a corner and be scared of fast movements or loud sounds. But, now I'm learning to approach people to ask for pets, and to even push my foster sister aside to get my fair share of them. I'm learning to play with toys, to walk nicely on a leash, and how to live in a home. And I love other dogs!
Each day I'm making progress and my foster mom is so proud of me. In order for my confidence to grow, I would do best with another dog (mid-size or larger) in the home to be my friend and show me the ropes. With time and patience, I know that I can be a very loving, loyal girl. Will you help me to live my best life?
