Star

Hi, I am Star!

I’m one very lucky girl. After being left by my family and brought to a shelter, some wonderful people came to my rescue. Cars are a tiny bit scary still, but my foster family is helping me learn that not every car ride is a bad one!

I love kids so much and haven’t barked once since I’ve been here. I’m a pretty quiet girl and don’t think barking is much fun anyway. I would be so happy in a home with children to love on or just fun adults would work too! I also adore playing with my stuffed elephant toy and a good game of ball. I’m learning to bring the ball back so we can keep the fun going!

I have a great appetite and really enjoy my walks. At first, I thought I had to rush, but now I’m learning that if I slow down, I won’t miss all the good smells. Loud noises can make me nervous, and I might try to scoot away from them. I look to my people to show me that everything is okay, and when they do, I feel much braver.

I’ve been through a lot in a short time—travel, my spay surgery, and new places—so I’ve had a couple of accidents in the house. I’m still adjusting and learning, and I promise I’m trying my best. I’m not a big fan of the crate and might cry a little, but I don’t bark about it. I just really love being near my people.

I don’t guard my food, and I’m gentle with everyone—no mouthing or rough stuff. I just want to love and be loved. If you let me sleep by your bed, I’ll be the very best girl all night long.

And here’s a little secret… if you pet me on my chest, I’ll fall asleep right before your eyes. 💕
