Hi there, friends!
My name is Sam, and I traveled all the way from Louisiana in search of my forever family. It’s been quite the journey—full of frequent feedings (10/10, highly recommend!) and lots of medicated baths (2/10 😕) to help me gain weight and heal some skin issues. Thanks to lots of love and care, I’m feeling so much better, getting back to a healthy weight, and officially ready to greet my public!
Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m the sweetest, goofiest guy you’ll ever meet. I love going for walks, playing in the snow with my dog friends, teasing the resident cats, shredding my stuffies, snuggling up for TV time, and polishing off my third meal of the day. I love food and will politely supervise your dinner—no begging or whining here.
I don’t need to be crated, and when 9:00 pm rolls around, I happily take myself off to bed (bonus points if it’s in your room 😊). I adore car rides, behave beautifully at friends’ homes and the vet, and greet everyone I meet with enthusiastic hugs and nonstop tail wags.
While I’ve come such a long way, I still have some healing to do. Luckily, my amazing foster mom has found the perfect solution and partnered with a truly wonderful vet to make sure I stay on my healing journey. I hope my next family will see how special I am and be ready to pick up where my foster team has lovingly left off—supporting me as I continue to thrive until I’m once again the happiest, healthiest, and fluffiest boy out there.
