Hi! My name is Jewel, and I’m ready to be the jewel of your eye. As you can see, I am a black beauty with the sweetest disposition. I was rescued from a kennel in TN. Although they took care of me physically, I didn’t get the attention I deserve and so I’m a little shy and timid at first. However, once I get to know you, I will be your shadow!
My favorite thing is snuggling on the couch while you watch TV! My foster mom can’t get over how sweet and gentle I am. I love playing with other dogs and my foster mom often arranges play dates with other pups! I’m still getting used to being a “normal” dog and enjoying the luxuries of life. I love my treat dispensing toys and a good bully stick. I occasionally get a little mouthy out of excitement, but I immediately stop when I’m told “no”. I am potty trained, but my foster mom keeps me on a strict schedule to help that. And, bonus, I’m good with cats!
Because I still startle easily, I would do great in a quieter home. I would also do better with older rather than younger kids. Other than that, just give me kisses and treats, and I will be forever yours!
