I am one seriously sweet, happy, people-loving girl. I’m housebroken, I adore other dogs, and I think pretty much every person I meet has the potential to become my new best friend. I have not met any cats yet, but I have a wonderfully social, affectionate personality and love being part of whatever is going on.
I’ve had a tougher start than most. After being abandoned, I was hit by a car and came into rescue with several significant injuries. Since then, I’ve had a femur repair and shoulder surgery, and I have handled recovery like a total champ. I don’t love spending so much time in my crate, but give me a lick toy or something yummy to work on and I settle in pretty well.
I just graduated to four weeks out from my leg surgery and two weeks out from my shoulder surgery! I still have some activity restrictions while everything continues to heal, but I’m making progress every day. I may require a little patience right now, but trust me — I am absolutely worth the wait.
I’m still a young girl with a whole lot of life ahead of me. Because of my past injuries, I will likely need elbow surgery in the future, and my hips may need some extra care as I get older. My ideal family will have a good relationship with their veterinarian and be comfortable consulting with a veterinary orthopedic specialist when needed. Think of it as having a great medical team in my corner so I can keep feeling my best.
My history may be complicated, but I certainly am not. The amazing supporters of MLRR donated thousands of dollars to keep me here, and I am so grateful, I’m goofy, loving, resilient, dog-friendly, people-friendly, and incredibly easy to fall in love with. I’m looking for a family who sees all of that first — and who is ready to give me the care, adventures, snuggles, and very happy life I deserve.
