This sweet girl was adopted before becoming available to the public. While most of our dogs are posted for adoption, there are rare situations where a dog is placed prior to public listing.
At MLRR, foster families who have been with us for at least one year receive first consideration when a new dog comes in, as they already know the dog well. In addition, we occasionally allow MLRR alumni families who have lost an MLRR dog too soon or under tragic circumstances to apply before a public adoption post.
These situations are uncommon and account for less than 1% of the dogs we take in. Our goal is always to do what’s best for each dog while honoring the incredible families who support our rescue.
Beauty was one of these rare cases that a family was allowed to show interest before she was available to our approved adopters and she is now living her best life, which is always our priority.
