Hi, I’m Axel! 🖤 I’m 6 years old, and I’ve been told I’m a pretty striking guy with my shiny black coat and calm, confident personality.
I came into rescue after my favorite person passed away. Losing my human was really hard, but I still have so much love to give, and I’m ready to start my next chapter with a family of my own. 🐾
A Little About Me
• I’m past the puppy stage. I have great house manners and know how to relax when it’s time to chill.
• I have a famous happy dance. When I’m excited to see you, my whole body gets involved. My tail starts wagging, my paws start tapping, and apparently I make my own little soundtrack on the floor. 🎶
• I’m a devoted shadow. I love being close to my people and will happily follow you around the house just in case you need some company.
• I’m definitely a cuddle bug. After a good walk or some playtime, there’s nothing better than settling in close to my favorite person. ❤️
Some of My Favorite Things
I get along great with other dogs and cats, and I’m a big fan of toys and treats. I especially love plush stuffies — I treat them like my little babies — along with Nylabones and peanut butter Kongs. 🧸
I also enjoy staying active. Neighborhood walks, yard time, playing, getting some exercise, and even running up and down the stairs are all right up my alley.
I’ve already known what it feels like to be deeply loved, and I’m ready to have that again. I’m smart, sweet, loyal, affectionate, and I have plenty of love left to share.
